EPANAGOGE (ἐπαναγωγὴ τοῦ νόμου). – A compilation, probably of an official character, which is a revision of the Prochire, promulgated around the year 885, during the reign of the Byzantine emperors Basilio, Leone, and Alessandro. It is held that its preface was written by Fozio, patriarch of Constantinople.
