DAUGHTERS OF THE DIVINE SHEPHERDESS (Seville). – Institute founded in 1855 by Fr Faustino Mingues, of the Piarist Fathers, at Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in the archdiocese of Seville, for the free education of poor girls. On 6 December 1920 the Holy See gave it definitive approval. It now numbers about 170 sisters in 18 houses.
