FOZ do IGUASSÙ. – Prelature in the State of Paraná, Brazil, suffragan to Curitiba, erected on 10 May 1926 by Pope Pius XI with the apostolic constitution Quum in dies. The church of the prelature was established as that of S. Giovanni Battista in the same city of F. do I.
The prelature extends over 87,600 sq km and has a population of 100,000, of whom 95,000 are Catholics; it is divided into 5 parishes, with 11 regular priests, 6 male and 6 female religious communities (1949).
