PRIESTLY FRATERNITY. - Institution that arose in Paris in 1901 on the initiative of Fr. M. E. Prevost (b. 1860, d. 1946), to give priests houses of shelter and rest, where they can find spiritual, intellectual and material comfort, and that assistance of which they have so much need, especially if alone or ill. The work today has 4 houses in France, 2 in Italy and 2 in Canada.
