GEZO of Tortona. – Theologian and Benedictine abbot, d. c. 980. He was a priest of Tortona when Bishop Giselprando appointed him abbot of the new monastery of SS. Peter and Marian (Tortona).

Around 950 he wrote the *De Corpore et Sanguine Christi*, in which he incorporated the homonymous treatise by Paschasius Radbertus (v.). Mabillon, who had discovered two manuscripts of it, printed only the preface and the chapter titles. Muratori, basing his work on a new codex from the Ambrosian Library, produced the complete edition but omitted the 23 chapters taken from Paschasius and the most famous patristic quotations. This text was reprinted by Migne (PL 137, 371–406).
