GIOVANNI di SCITOPOLI. — Bishop of the sixth century. The first commentator on the pseudo-Areopagite works. Around 530 he wrote against Severus of Antioch and another work against Eutyches and Dioscurus, according to the testimony of Photius (Bibl., cod. 95; PG, 103, col. 340 ff.).
