GORGONIA, SANTA

GORGONIA, Saint. - Sister of St. Gregory of Nazianzus, who celebrated her in a famous funeral eulogy; she died around 370, still young, after her husband and her five children. She is commemorated in the Martyr. Romanum on December 9, but the true day of her death is unknown, nor does it appear that she died at Nazianzus.
