HAMELINUS of VERULAMIUM. — A Benedictine, he died around 1110; he was a disciple of b. Lanfranco and prior (around 1093) of the abbey of St. Albans (Hertfordshire, England).
He wrote a short work De monachati, in which he sets forth many monastic customs; it was published in part by E. Martène and U. Durand, in Thesaurus novus anedoctorum, V, Paris 1717, cols. 1453–56, extracted from a Bigotian manuscript.
