JAHBALLÁHÁ I

JAHBALLÁHÁ I. - Catholicos of the Church of Persia (415-20). In 418 he went as ambassador of King Yazdegerd I to Constantinople. In 419, under him, a synod was held at Seleucia-Ctesiphon (attended by a delegate from Constantinople, Acacius) which confirmed the acceptance of the discipline of the Greek Church.
