JAHBALLĀHĀ I. – Katholikós of the Church of Persia (415–20). In 418 he went as an ambassador of King Yazdegerd I to Constantinople. In 419, a synod was held under his authority at Seleucia-Ctesiphon (with a delegate from Constantinople, Acacius, present), which confirmed the acceptance of the discipline of the Greek Church.
