KAMIENIEC, DIOCESI of. — In Podolia (southwestern Soviet Russia). A diocese since approximately 1370. Administered between 1866 and 1918 by the bishop of Luck, it was then separated from it on 22 September 1918. It is suffragan to Mohilew. In 1926 an apostolic administrator was consecrated; he was imprisoned in 1930 and then exiled in 1932. Today the see is vacant, and the faithful are without pastors.
