LE NOBLETZ, MARGUERITE

LE NOBLETZ, MARGUERITE. - Sister of Michel Le N., born at Kerodern in Plouguerneau (formerly in the diocese of Léon) in 1583, died at Ploaré in 1633.

Convinced by her brother to renounce the world, she lived in complete poverty, entirely dedicated to the service and instruction of the poor, often accompanying Michel on his missions and preparing the faithful for the Sacraments. Having settled in Ploaré, she intensified her apostolate and organized groups of Christian women to assist her in catechesis and care of the poor. Her tomb at Ploaré is held in great veneration, and many miracles are attributed to her intercession.
