MALALEEL

MALALEEL. - Patriarch mentioned in Gen. 5:12-13, and depicted in one of the medallions of the patriarchal cycle painted on the walls of the central nave of the basilica of St. Croce in Gerusalemme in Rome (1123-44). He appears youthful; beneath the legend reads: «Malalehel vixit octingentis nonaginta annis».
