REVUE OF RELIGIONS. - Periodical founded in Amiens, published in Paris by the priest Z. Peisson, as a Catholic contribution to the study of mythology and comparative religions that developed in the second half of the 19th century thanks to advances in research in comparative mythology and ethnology.
In 1897 it merged with the Belgian journal Le Muséon, which added to its title: et la R. d. r., and was published in Louvain under the direction of the orientalist Monsignor Ch. de Harlez. In 1900 Le Muséon began its 2nd series with the subtitle: études philologiques, historiques et religieuses, which replaced the other.
