REVUE DES RELIGIONS. – Periodical founded at Amiens and published in Paris by the priest Z. Peisson, as a Catholic contribution to the study of mythology and comparative religions, which developed during the second half of the 19th century thanks to advances in research into comparative mythology and ethnology.
In 1897 it merged with the Belgian journal Le Muséon, which added to its title: et la R. d. r., and was published at Louvain under the direction of the Orientalist Mons. Ch. de Harlez. In 1900, Le Muséon began its 2nd series with the subtitle: études philologiques, historiques et religieuses, which replaced the former one.
