It appears quarterly and publishes original articles, reviews, and news related to the subject, as well as critical bulletins on various religions.
Its approach is purely historical, excluding any writing that presents a polemical or dogmatic character. Initially published by the editor E. Leroux, it is now published by the Presses Universitaires de France. The most renowned specialists in the field have collaborated and continue to collaborate with it.
