REVUE D'HISTOIRE ET DE LITTÉRATURE RELIGIEUSES. - Founded in Paris in 1896, with the assiduous collaboration of the modernist A. Loisy, its principal aim was the history of Christianity and of Israel, biblical and Christian literature, and the religions and religious philosophies of the ancient world.
It published leading articles, chronicles and reports, always maintaining a historical and critical point of view. L. Duchesne, P. Lejay, F. Cumont, J. Zeiller, van den Gheyn and S. Reinach collaborated on it. It suspended publication in 1910, coinciding with the repression of modernism, and resumed it, with the same program, in the same year, as a "new series," under the direction of A. Loisy, only to cease definitively in 1922 after having published another seven volumes.
