The intention was no longer to remain on the defensive in the face of Freemasonry, but to enter the battle, setting publications against publications, just as others set schools against schools, associations against associations, and so forth. The documentary material demonstrating the sect’s invasion of all key positions and its anti-Catholic and anti-religious aims is accompanied by articles, refutations, lists of anti-Masonic works, and a kind of index—or rather chronicle—of Masonic events, arranged according to the various nations.
