PROHIBITED SOCIETIES (SECTS). — By their very nature, prohibited societies are those that propose an illicit aim, or that, while pursuing a good end, intend to achieve it through dishonest means. They are therefore illicit in nature, whatever their character: religious, political, humanitarian, scientific dissemination, commercial, etc.
