The Revue des Questions Historiques is a periodical founded in Paris in 1866 by Marquis G. du Fresne de Beaucourt. Its purpose was to promote and deepen the study of historical questions still under debate or not fully clarified, and to provide a work of historical revision in the face of the conspiracy then prevailing against truth.
The programme outlined from the very first issue was consistently maintained and always kept at the level of profound critical studies conducted on documents, supplemented by rich bibliographical bulletins of serious tone. It underwent some interruptions: 1919-22; 1932-1933, but each time it resumed, always faithful to its tradition. It was written by renowned authors; e.g., L. Duchesne, Fustel de Coulanges, G.
