REVUE DES QUESTIONS HISTORIQUES. — Periodical founded in Paris in 1866 through the efforts of the marquis G. du Fresne de Beaucourt, with the aim of promoting and deepening the study of historical questions that were still debated or not yet completely clarified, and of undertaking a revision of history in the face of the prevailing conspiracy against the truth.
The program outlined from the very first issue was consistently maintained and always kept at the level of profound critical studies conducted on the documents, accompanied by bibliographical bulletins rich in works and serious in tone. It experienced several interruptions: 1919–1922; 1932–1933, but resumed publication each time, always faithful to its tradition. Authors of renown wrote for it; e.g. L. Duchesne, Fustel de Coulanges, G. Kurth, H. Didon, etc. It ceased publication because of the Second World War.
