REVUE CATHOLIQUE DES INSTITUTIONS ET DU DROIT. – A periodical initially issued monthly and later twice a month, founded by the Jesuit J. Sambin (1820–92) and Senator Lucien-Brun, and published in Grenoble in 1873.
Its aim was to show, against the harmful effects of the French Revolution, what role religion ought to have in civil and political institutions and what consequences its absence had brought upon society. It therefore sought to study constitutional, parliamentary, judicial, economic, industrial, and other institutions in the light of religious doctrine and common sense, without neglecting their history and the lessons to be drawn from II.
The periodical ceased publication in 1940 on account of the Second World War.
