REVUE CATHOLIQUE OF INSTITUTIONS AND OF CANON LAW. - A journal, at first monthly, then twice-monthly, founded by the Jesuit J. Sambin (1820-92) and by the senator Lucien-Brun, which appeared in Grenoble in 1873.
The aim it pursued was to show, against the harmful effects of the French Revolution, what part religion ought to have in civil and political institutions and what consequences have resulted to society from its absence. The intention was therefore to study in the light of religious doctrine and of good sense constitutional, parliamentary, judicial, economic, industrial institutions, etc., not neglecting their history and the lessons that derive from it.
