Revue of Asceticism and of Mysticism

REVUE D'ASCÉTIQUE ET DE MYSTIQUE. – Bimonthly journal, founded in Toulouse in 1920 by Fr. J. de Guibert, with the aim of studying spirituality scientifically in all its aspects.

It therefore seeks to develop theological speculation concerning the subject; it addresses historical questions concerning persons, the various currents, and ascetical texts; it offers unpublished documentation and takes an interest in general and special psychology, especially religious psychology. The issues also contain a special chronicle of information on scientific and practical progress and the various orientations of asceticism and mysticism, together with a bibliographical bulletin of ascetical and mystical works and studies published separately or in periodicals.
