REVUE THOMISTE. - A doctrinal review of Thomistic theology and philosophy, founded in Paris in 1893 by the Dominican Father Tommaso Coconnier.
Its aim is not only to expound and defend, in language accessible to our time, the doctrines of St Thomas, but also to bring ecclesiastical science into contact with modern sciences, taking advantage of the wonderful new discoveries and the broad developments of recent theories, in order to shed new light on speculation and to contribute to the great Catholic synthesis of human knowledge.

«REX GLORIOSE MARTYRM.» - Hymn at Lauds in the Common of Several Martyrs outside Eastertide, of unknown authorship, belonging to the ancient Irish group. In it the martyrs’ victory is extolled, while forgiveness is sought for one’s own sins.
«REX SEMPITERNE CAELITUM.» - Hymn at Matins in Eastertide, of unknown authorship from the 5th century, clearly in the Ambrosian style.
Seventeenth-century correctors greatly revised II. The hymn is addressed to Christ, eternal king and creator of all things, who in Adam fashioned man in his own image and likeness, and after sin redeemed him by assuming his form and, through Baptism, saves him after redeeming him. The Cross and the Blood of Christ give to Baptism its divine power and fruitfulness.
