SALESIANE DEI SACRI CUORI. — Founded in Lecce in 1884 by Fr. Filippo Smaldone for the care and education of deaf-mute and blind girls.
They obtained the decree of praise and temporary approval of the Constitutions on 30 November 1915, and definitive approval on 5 April 1925. They number 38 houses and 308 sisters.
