Salesian Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Founded in 1895 by Piedad Ortiz Real at Alcantarilla (diocese of Cartagena, Spain).
They engage in the education of young women, especially the poor, and in the care of the elderly and the poor in hospitals and hospices. The Holy See granted the decree of praise and temporary approval of the Constitutions on 25 January 1925. At present the Institute has 25 houses with 184 sisters.
