ABAD y LASIERA, AGUSTÍN IGNACIO. – Spanish Benedictine, born in Estadilla (Aragon) in 1745, died in 1813. He spent eleven years in Puerto Rico, collecting documents on the history and geography of the place, from which he derived a Historia geográfica, civil y política de la isla de San Juan de Puerto Rico (Madrid, 1788).
