ADAMO di CLERMONT. — Chronicler, who lived during the thirteenth century.
He is credited with two works: a still unpublished Chronicon, which recounts the events of the years 1218–70, and the Flores Historiarum, a kind of compendium of Vincenzo di Beauvais’s Speculum Historiale, which extends to 1276, that is, to the year of the death of Pope Gregorio X, to whom the work is dedicated. It has not yet been possible to establish whether these two works are in fact distinct or whether, rather, one is a compendium of the other.
