ADENULFO (ATENULFO). - Archbishop of Capua, died before 1059. He governed the archiepiscopal see from 1038 to 1058. During this time he suffered the oppressions of Prince Pandolfo II, by whom he was once imprisoned and later freed by Emperor Conrad II. In 1032 he consecrated the bishop of Sessa and in 1044 that of Atina.
His works include the Epistola in passione beni assidui Marci Attinae civitatis episcopi and the Passio Sanctorum Martyrum Atinensium Nicandri et Marciani, both published by Ughelli.
