AETINI, AGOSTINO

AETINI, AGOSTINO. — Augustinian, born in Torretta di Val Giano (Arezzo) around 1671, distinguished mainly in biblical teaching. He published Biblia aurea, six loci communes arranged in alphabetical order (Perugia 1728), Chronica Sacra (ibid. 1729), and other works, especially chronological ones. He died before 1730.

Aevum. — A journal of historical, linguistic, and philological sciences, published since 1927 by the Faculty of Letters of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, in four issues per year. It contains «inedita et rara» (new or newly critically edited texts and documents, descriptions of manuscripts, etc.), reasoned bibliographical bulletins of the various philological and historical disciplines, scientific communications of various kinds, and critical reviews of books. A series of publications has also been initiated as a supplement to the journal.
