AGUILAR, FRANCESCO ANTONIO de. — Augustinian of the convent of Córdoba, in the 17th century, d. in 1700. He was called to important offices not only in his own religious province of Andalusia, but also in the curia of Málaga. He was renowned as a distinguished scholastic. Among other things, he produced a highly esteemed edition of the works of Giles of Rome, with numerous notes, especially on the Commentaries on the Sentences.
