AGUILAR, FRANCESCO ANTONIO de. – Augustinian of the convent of Cordova in the seventeenth century; he died in 1700. He was appointed to important offices not only in his religious province of Andalusia, but also in the curia of Malaga. He was renowned as an eminent scholastic. Among other things, he is credited with a highly regarded edition of the works of Egidio Romano, with numerous notes, especially on the Commentaries on the Sentences.
