AGUILAR, DIEGO

AGUILAR, DIEGO. — Augustinian, d. 1620. He took his vows in the convent of Valencia in 1570. In his later years he joined the congregation of the Discalced Augustinians and founded a monastery in Saragossa. A large manuscript collection of memorable deeds of distinguished Augustinians has survived from him, an important source for the history of the Order in Spain.
