AGUILAR, DIEGO. – Augustinian, d. in 1620. He professed his vows in the convent of Valencia in 1570. In his final years, he joined the congregation of the Discalced Augustinians and founded a monastery in Saragossa. A voluminous manuscript collection of memorable deeds of distinguished Augustinians has survived from him, an important source for the history of the Order in Spain.
