Agostino da Bergamo

AGOSTINO da BERGAMO. - Three Augustinians bore this name: of the first it is only known that he was a professor in Paris from 1303 to 1305. The second, vicar of the Lombard congregation in 1501 and died in 1513, wrote: De Deo uno et trino; Commentaria in IV libros Sententiarum and several other works not yet identified. The third, a man of reform and vicar of the same congregation under the generalate of Seripando, died in 1550. Some treatises are his works: Dell'orazione mentale; Della mortificazione dei sensi; Dell'abnegazione di sè medesimo, etc.
