AGOSTINO da BERGAMO. — Three Augustinians bore this name: of the first, it is known only that he was a professor in Paris from 1303 to 1305. The second, vicar of the Lombard congregation in 1501 and deceased in 1513, wrote: De Deo uno et trino; Commentaria in IV libros Sententiarum, and several other works not yet identified. The third, a reform-minded man and vicar of the same congregation during the generalate of Seripando, died in 1550. Among his works are several treatises: Dell'orazione mentale; Della mortificazione dei sensi; Dell'abnegazione di sè medesimo, etc.
