SISTERS OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY. – A religious institute that originated in 1845 at Monroe, in the diocese of Detroit, in the United States, through the work of Fr. L. Gillet, of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, for the religious education and instruction of young people. The sisters belong to a single category and all enjoy the same privileges.
