HANDMAIDS OF THE IMMACULATE, PROTECTRESSES OF WOMEN WORKERS. – This institute, founded in Valenza, Spain, by Giovanna Maria Condesa for the protection and intellectual and moral advancement of young women workers, offering them hospitality and instruction, was canonically erected on 4 July 1892 by Cardinal Morescillo, and approved by the Holy See in 1933.

It has 13 houses with more than 100 religious.
