ANDREA, FULVIO. — An archaeologist of Sabine origin, he lived in Rome in the first half of the sixteenth century.
He first dealt with the topography of the City in a hexameter poem, Antiquaria Romana (Rome 1514); then, Bondo (v.), he composed an extensive treatise on the same subject, Antiquitates Urbis (Rome 1527 and frequently thereafter). In the fourth book there is a chapter De coemeteris, in which he gives us a list of 15, different from those preceding it; Book V contains a chapter De basilicis et templis sub christiano vita excitatis, with a very rich list of churches.
