ANTONELLO da SERRAVALLE. — A Venetian painter of the 15th century about whom precise information is lacking; in 1485 he signed a fresco in S. Andrea at Serravalle representing the Madonna enthroned with the Child and two Saints, and perhaps painted another Madonna with the Child on the porch of Palazzo Tedesco in the same city. He has often been confused with Antonello da Messina and with Antonello da Saliba.
