GIOVANNI BATTISTA ANTONINI – An 18th-century sculptor who worked in Rome; he is mentioned by Titi as part of the group of artists who, by the will of Clement XI, completed the decoration of the colonnade of St. Peter’s Square by executing the 44 missing travertine statues. He is also attributed with a bust of S. Antonio in the Pallavicini Gallery in Genoa.
