BEGNUDELLI-BASSO, FRANCESCO ANTONIO

BEGNUDELLI-BASSO, FRANCESCO ANTONIO. – Italian canon lawyer, born around 1644 in Trentino. Vicar general in his homeland from 1675, canon, and from 1696 vicar general at Frisinga, where he died on 9 October 1713.

He is the author of the Bibliotheca Iuris Canonico-Civilis Practica (Frisinga 1712), one of the best encyclopedias of canon law of its time, which still has some value today, although it has been superseded by that of L. Ferraris.
