BEGNUDELLI-BASSO, FRANCESCO ANTONIO. - Italian canonist, b. around 1644 in Trentino. Vicar general in his homeland from 1675, canon, and from 1696 vicar general in Freising, where he d. on 9 Oct. 1713.

He is the author of the Bibliotheca Iuris Canonico-Civilis Practica (Freising 1712), one of the best encyclopedias of canon law of that time, which even today has some value, although it has been superseded by that of L. Ferraris.
