BEGNUDELLI-BASSO, Francesco Antonio. Italian canonist, born around 1644 in Trentino. Vicar general in his homeland from 1675, canon, and from 1696 vicar general in Freising, where he died on 9 October 1713.
He is the author of *Biblioteca Iuris Canonico-Civili Practica* (Freising 1712), one of the best encyclopedias of canon law of that time, which still retains some value, although surpassed by that of L. Ferraris.
