BENIAMIN, BASILIO RUMOVSKIJ KRASNOPEKOV. – Russian liturgist, born at Krasnoe in 1758. He was bishop first of Olonec, then of Arcangelo, and finally of Novgorod, where he died on 16 March 1811.
He wrote: New Explanation of the Liturgy, or Supplement to the Ancient Commentaries and Mystical Explanation of the Church, of Its Various Parts and Furnishings, and of All the Rites Performed Therein. He translated Goar’s Euchologion into Russian (v.).
