CATTELLANI, VINCENZO. – Oratorian, born on 13 October 1742 in Reggio Emilia, where he always lived and died in September 1804. An exemplary priest, he served as examiner of clerics and parish priests, and was elected several times superior of his Congregation.
He was an elegant writer and poet in both Latin and Italian. In addition to poems of a secular nature, he published various booklets of novenas, prayers, paraphrases of biblical canticles, poems for religious professions and priestly ordinations, and an ascetical biography: Vita della serva di Dio Rosa M. Martini, giovinetta secolare fiorentina morta il 20 febbr. 1769 in età di 22 anni (Firenze 1773).
