CONGREGATION OF THE HOLY CROSS OF SAINT QUENTIN. – It originated in 1622 at Amiens through the efforts of Christophe Belliot, vicar general of Amiens, with the collaboration of some priests and pious young men, for the instruction of youth. Famous was the college of Saint Quentin, from which the institution took its definitive name. Reconstituted after the French Revolution, it began new development and was approved by the Holy See in 1899. Today it has 8 houses with 220 religious.
