DE FRATRIBUS SEPTEM MACHABAEIS CARMEN. - This poem in 394 hexameters is handed down under the names of Marius Victorinus and Hilary of Arles. Peiper wishes to attribute it to another Hilary, a contemporary of the metropolitan Hilary of Arles. The text presupposes an account of the martyrdom of the seven brothers and their mother that differs in part from II Macc. 7.
