ECHOS D'ORIENT. - Monthly review begun by the Augustinians of the Assumption in 1897 as a continuation of the *Echos de Notre-Dame de France*. The authoritative review set out to illustrate questions concerning the Christian East; it gradually took on a strictly scientific character and distinguished itself admirably in the field of Byzantine studies. *E. d'O.* was published in Paris and later in Lyon, while the editorial office was in Bucharest. Suspended with its 30th volume in 1942, it found a continuation in the *Revue des études byzantines*, which has been published twice yearly since 1943 and whose editorial office, previously in Bucharest, is now in Paris.
