He is the first in the group that greets Timothy: followed by Pudens, Linus, and Claudia; but the order may be purely coincidental. On the other hand, the importance and position of the others named are unknown (though it is very likely that Linus is the future successor of Peter); hence nothing can be deduced about E. Nor from his name, which was very common, and his name is first among all the children.
