FIGLIE DI CRISTO RE (Granata). – Religious institute founded in Granata on 26 May 1876 by Canon G. Gras Granollers. It obtained the decree of praise on 15 February 1898 and approval on 16 August 1901. Its constitutions, inspired by the Augustinian rule, were approved on 4 December 1906 and, definitively, on 12 July 1944.
The particular purpose of the Institute is to render special worship to the kingship of Christ and to provide girls with a solidly Christian education in colleges, workshops, and Sunday schools.
In 1948 it had 30 houses and 300 sisters.
