The Daughters of Bethlehem. – A religious congregation founded in Milan in 1864 by Virginia Besozzi to gather and educate poor girls. Approved by the Holy See, it spread throughout Lombardy and other regions of Italy; the congregation today has 50 houses with over 300 religious.
