DAUGHTERS OF BETHLEHEM. - Religious congregation founded in Milan in 1864 by Virginia Besozzi to take in and educate poor girls. Approved by the Holy See and spread throughout Lombardy and other regions of Italy, the Congregation today has 50 houses with over 300 religious sisters.
