He became professor of canon law at Naples under Charles III, holding the chair until 1787, when he was elected bishop of Muro.
He wrote: *De beneficiis ecclesiasticis* (Naples 1747); *De iure doctrinae* (ibid. 1746); *Institutionum iuris canonici communis et neapolitani libri quattuor* (ibid. 1756). All these works were re-edited in the last century by G. Romani.
