GUERRICO di SAINT-QUENTIN (Flandrensis). - Dominican theologian, d. 1245. Already magister artium and doctor of medicine, G. became a Dominican in Paris in 1225. After his theological studies, he taught at Bologna and then at Paris, where he was the fourth master of theology of his Order, holding the chair of the “foreigners” at St. James’s (1233-42).
He wrote Sermones, Quentiones disputatae and quodlibetales, Postillae, Commentarii on various books of Holy Scripture, listed by Glorieux and Henquinet. Fries identified the Commentary on the Sentences in cod. Vat. lat. 691, written after 1220.
