GUIDE ITALIANE, Association of (A.G.I.). - Association for the education and the moral and physical formation of Italian young women according to the principles and practice of the scout educational method, harmonized with the conditions of national life and with the principles of the Catholic religion. It had its statutes approved by the Holy See on 8 Dec. 1944. It is a work coordinated with Italian Catholic Action.

It gathers girls from 8-12 years of age (Coccinelle), young girls from 12 to 16 (Guide), and young women over 16 years of age (Scolte). The A. G. I. has its headquarters in Rome and its units in 78 dioceses with many thousands of members.
