INNOCENZO DI SANT'ANDREA

INNOCENT OF ST ANDREW. - Spanish Discalced Carmelite, born Innocenzo de la Carra y López, born in 1553 in Tafalla (Navarre), died in 1620 in Granada. He was received into the Order at Pastrana in 1572 by St John of the Cross, with whom he was not only a companion in various convents and on his travels, but also a faithful disciple of his holiness and teaching.

Under the name Andrés Lazarra Cruzate, he published the work: *Teologia mistica y espejo de la vida eterna por el cual son encaminadas las almas que desean alcanzarla* (Rome 1615).
