LESEUR, THOMAS. - Theologian, philosopher, mathematician of the Order of Minims, b. at Rethel (Champagne) in 1703, d. at Rome on 22 Sept. 1770. After teaching theology and philosophy in his own province, he was sent (1734) to Rome where, in collaboration with Fr. Jacquier (q.v.), he carried on his long scientific activity.
Besides the works written in collaboration with Fr. Jacquier, he wrote Mémoire sur le calcul intégral (Rome 1748); his theological works and other manuscripts perished in the Napoleonic dispersal of the Roman convent of the Trinity.
