PAOLINO di PELLA. - Christian poet, probably nephew of the poet Ausonio, b. in 376 at Pella in Macedonia, d. shortly after 460 in southern France.

From the age of three he lived at Bordeaux. After suffering great reverses of fortune following the invasion of 406 and the sack of his city by the Goths in 412, he converted in 421.
